"Criminologist," by Ashley H.

In alleys where whispers cling,

A shadow marks each broken thing.

A footprint pressed on rain-soaked stone,

A secret carved in undertone.

The criminologist walks alone,

Searching for evidence and answers

Figuring out why it happened

And what's the motive?

In a mind of this criminologist

Is questions that are needing answers,

She wants to understand the minds of criminals,

And why they do what they do.

This criminologist wants to study cases

Not for the fun, not for entertainment,

But to save the lives that were lost

She does what she does to find justice.

The fingerprints of troubled minds.

In patterns, motives come to light,

A lantern in the teeth of night.

She's staring at her criminology degree,

Knowing she doesn't care about the money,

She's here to work hard,

and help people get the justice they deserve.

She's changing lives one case at a time.
