Where I’m from, everybody wants to know your business.
From the little old ladies
To the doorman

To the people walking down the street.
Where I’m from I am sandwiched
Between the subway on one side
And the ocean on the other.
I come from a place
Called little Odessa.
If you have lived here long enough,
You would probably become fluent in Russian
And eat borsch.
Where I am from
Summers are a lot of fun.
From riding the cyclone
To eating Nathan's hot dogs,
There is something here
For everyone.
But be aware
Of seagulls and pigeons
Stealing your food.
Just steps away from where I'm from
Is the famous Riegelmann Boardwalk.
Where I’m from at night you can hear
The thunder of the wooden boards
From the cyclone.
Where I’m from on the Fourth of July
The boardwalk is packed like
You can barely move
Without bumping into someone.
